Boring basics
By: Michael Beiter
To be healthy, we must consume a diet centered around minimally processed foods, find movement we like and will do regularly, eat slowly and mindfully, and practice self-compassion.
So, how many people actually do these things day in and day out?
Statistically speaking, less than 3% of Americans meet the basic qualifications for a 'healthy lifestyle.'
My point: If so few people can do just the basics, what's the likelihood that they'll be able to do something even harder? Especially as a novice?
Like those advanced, "cutting edge" protocols, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds keep blabbing about as they prepare to film the latest Marvel blockbuster.
The reality is that fat loss techniques don't need to be complicated. As a matter of fact, the boring stuff works the best. And it's a lot more doable than cutting out all your carbs or only eating for four hours a day.
Boring basics that 97% of our population fail to complete yield most of the results we all want.
