Back To Reality

By: Michael Beiter

March is a month of "back to reality" comments from vacation clients.

Pro tip: If facing a "back-to-reality" situation after spring break, give yourself at least a week to acclimate to said reality.

You should know what you weighed before you left, and if you gained weight, you should be back to your pre-break weight after three to four days of your regular routine.

Body weight fluctuations indicate a NORMAL response to travel, food variety, etc.

If you don't fluctuate at all, consider yourself spared and stop reading now.

Just because your scale goes up when you travel doesn't mean you're gaining fat. To prove it further, when your weight drops quickly after you return to normal, that is not fat loss; it's a combination of about a dozen factors that can all be lumped into the subjective feeling of 'fluff.'
