“I’ve got a guy…”

By: Michael Beiter

Four of my clients work for the same company in Des Moines.

One of them is a forty-six-year-old woman who was talking to her boss the other day.

“How do you stay so in shape?” the boss lady asked.

“I workout every day and track my food. I’ve been working with this guy forever. Let me know if you want his number,” the client lady replied.

Another worker, from the same company, in a far away division was talking to one of his colleagues in North Carolina. She mentioned she was playing around with fasting and her diet. Mike told her he meets me to stay on top of his food and workouts.

Mike has a 72-week streak of meeting his exercise needs. He started working with me during the pandemic and has built a helluva home routine with his dumbbells, kettlebells, and Peloton. After experimenting without it for a few months, he returned to his foundation of food logging and concluded he was too inaccurate when he ate based on feeling alone.

“I wondered why I would ever go to a gym again. I cut back on alcohol and noticed immediate impacts on my sleep and energy, and there were no wasted calories.

“I’ll put you in contact with my guy if you’re interested.”

I love being ‘the guy’ for people’s food and fitness needs.
