“Just Tell Me What To Do”

By: Michael Beiter

I got two new clients this week.

One is a high achiever who felt guilty for paying someone to clean her house until we reframed it as an investment in herself. She still felt hesitant but better because by not having to clean, she got to go to the grocery store and cook.

Another guy sent this message, and we went back and forth online.

I wanted to share because the ideology he is after is pretty common in fitness and nutrition: "Just tell me what to do."

It takes one reminder about a fisherman, a guy, and a fish for people to realize what they're asking.

You know, the difference between a fisherman catching fish for a guy and the fisherman teaching the guy to fish for himself.
